No uploads, ever

Your document is read straight into this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server, because there is no server to send it to.

Nothing is stored

No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no logs. Recent files are remembered in your own browser and only there — clear them in one click.

Runs on your device

Rendering, search, annotation and export all happen on your own CPU, through pdf.js and pdf-lib compiled into the page.

How it works

Three steps, none of which involve the network. The only request Folio can make to another host is fetching a URL you typed yourself.

  1. 01

    Open a PDF

Drag it in, browse for it, or paste a URL. Password-protected files are unlocked locally and the password is never kept.

  2. 02

    Edit it

Annotate, sign, fill forms, add text and images, reorder or delete pages — with undo behind every change.

  3. 03

    Save the result

Your edits are baked into a real PDF in the tab and handed straight to your downloads folder.
